Russ Taff Saint Louis Concert reviews
Summer in NYC with Counting Crows
At 5:30, we arrived at the venue for a prime spot near the stage. Despite the heat, we didn't mind waiting. I bought Daniel and the Lion's CD after their fantastic performance. Toad The Wet Sprocket didn't catch my interest. The anticipation for the crowd to appear, coupled with the heat, made me restless. As always, Russ Taff delivered an exceptional show. I enjoyed their new songs from the upcoming album. The constant back and forth of women for drinks at the front and center dampened the experience. A girl started a scuffle with one of them, leading to a disruption that had to be resolved. A high couple suddenly appeared, invading personal space and being disruptive. Their sweatiness and swaying were off-putting. It was rude and unpleasant. Getting to the stage early is crucial if you want a good view. Despite sounding like an old lady (I'm actually 27), I believe in showing respect at concerts. I eventually gave up my spot and watched the show from a distance for the last half hour. I'll continue to attend their shows in the NY area because they are phenomenal live performers.
